Family Scholar House is an organization that empowers familes and youth across Louisville to succeed in education and achieve life-long self-sufficiency. Revolution partners with Family Scholar House in many areas, including hosting a toddler book club for kids and a soul-feast night of teaching and fellowship for adults.

Kids’ Book Club
There is nothing more powerful than helping children to read. If a child can read, they have the opportunity to grow in their education and this translates into fulfilling God’s dream for them in using the special gifts and talents they have in transforming the world. Revolution Church supports Family Scholar House’s vision of helping female and male single parent families who are currently enrolled in completing their college education.
Every other month, a team from Revolution gathers to read to the children at Family Scholar House, and to lead crafts and snack time together. Sign up to serve or just to participate using the event links at the bottom of this page.
Soul-Feast
Revolution Church is partnering together with Family Scholar House to host a Café Night on the third Monday of each month, offering support and encouragement to the families of the FSH community. Our goal on these nights is to serve, teach and inspire, and also to build meaningful relationships to support participants during the program and throughout their lives.
Each Café Night begins by sharing a meal together, and then moves into a time of teaching and small group discussion. Topics include everything from life skills to character-building to leadership development, and provide an opportunity to share stories with one another, to build relationships, to lean on one another and build one another up.
