About Brian
Brian and his wife Mandy are the founding and Lead Pastors of Revolution Church of Kentucky. Brian attended church regularly until later in high school. At the start of college, he began to question why be a part of a church and even more, why the need for Jesus at all. Brian met his wife Mandy during college and she began to reveal to him the Jesus he never knew and Jesus began a revolution in Brian’s life.By the end of his college years Brian and Mandy slowly began to attend churches of all kinds. Shortly after, Brian made a new commitment to be a follower of Jesus, asked Jesus to be his Lord, and began to experience more of God’s revolution in his life.
After college, Brian began a career in the business community. In the midst of his career, God called Brian to full time ministry for the purposes of teaching, leading, and renewal. After receiving this call, he and Mandy left their families and hometown of Grand Rapids, Michigan to attend Asbury Theological Seminary and begin their ministry of serving churches and releasing God’s love and hope in the world. Brian and Mandy have served in ministry since 2002, and Brian an ordained elder in the United Methodist Church. Planting a new church has been an exciting adventure to help others experience God’s revolution in their lives.
Brian has a B.S.B.A. from Aquinas College, has studied in the M.B.A. program at Western Michigan University, a Masters of Divinity from Asbury Theological Seminary, and a PhD in Systematic Theology from the London School of Theology and Middlesex University in the United Kingdom. Brian and Mandy have two children, Sarah Margaret and Luke. Brian is an adjunct professor of theology and preaching at Asbury Theological Seminary, and his favorite hobbies include golf, hockey, fishing, hunting, reading, movies, and riding in the golf cart with his kids.

Matthew Bauer – Executive Pastor
Matt came to Revolution at the start of 2016 and brings a wealth of ministry, business, and technical experience to our team. Matt has been in ministry leadership for over 15 years, and is a published author, musician, and public speaker. You can learn more about Matt at www.mattbauer.org. He, with his wife Janna, son Aiden, and faithful pup Baxter, love the outdoors, love exploring new places and trying new restaurants, love meeting new people, and love building God’s kingdom wherever they go.

Darrell Pittman – Worship + Celebrate Recovery Pastor
Darrell has been actively involved in worship ministry from 11 years and in music for 25. An Eastern Kentucky native, his passion for music was discovered at an early age and developed over time by different musical influences and multiple genres. About Darrell
Darrell has been actively involved in worship ministry from 11 years and in music for 25. An Eastern Kentucky native, his passion for music was discovered at an early age and developed over time by different musical influences and multiple genres. His musical passion merged with his newfound passion for Jesus in 1999 after a life changing experience in Abilene, Texas.
Since then, he has used his gifts to honor God and has been a student of worship. His experience in worship ministry has included different styles of worship and many different ages of worshippers. It is his prayer that he may be used as an instrument to revive the passion we each are created with to worship the Living God and to bring glory to his Son Jesus Christ.
Darrell is a graduate of Ferris State University and a student at the Baptist Seminary of Kentucky. He is married to Trish and they have three great kids Robbie, Theresa, and Dylan. His hobbies are martial arts, fitness, watching movies, and his favorite pastime is watching Dylan play basketball.

Amy Carlson – Director of Student Ministries
Amy has been a part of the Revolution Church family since 2012. She has been on a continued path of spiritual growth and recently enrolled in a Master of Divinity program. Her desire is to continue her learning so that she can help others find peace in the difficult questions and walk with them on their journey of spiritual growth. She brings with her a love for art, teaching, and connecting with others. She and her husband, Ted, enjoy gardening and kayaking together. They also enjoy taking their two boys, Nils & Magnus, exploring for fossils and other cool finds.
Who would have guessed? I’ve been on ESPN2, twice even, for dance competitions!

Greg Gibson – Treasurer
Greg grew up in Louisville and completed his B.S. in Accounting and M.B.A. at Bellarmine University. He retired from full-time employment after many years of accounting management for both commercial and non-profit organizations. Greg and his wife Faith have been married for 27 years. Greg is an avid golfer and competitive bass angler.
Who would have guessed? I can’t carry a tone in a bucket, but I still sing in the car anyway.

Ashlee Adkins – Ministry Associate
Ashlee has attended Revolution since early 2016. She’s always had a passion for Christ and began teaching Sunday School at age 13. In 2014, she enrolled in Western Theological Seminary in Holland, Michigan with plans to graduate with a Master of Divinity in May 2019. Ashlee and her husband Chris, welcomed their daughter Summitt Jene, in September 2017 to their family that also includes two pups, Woodford and Bear.
Who would have guessed? Ashlee won best defensive player at the University of Tennessee’s basketball camp when she was 16.
