Maundy Thursday (Zoom Only)
Maundy Thursday serves to focus our attention to where God is at work in our lives, to renew our sense of community through celebration and prayer, and to reflect on the ministry of Jesus in the world. On a day when we recall Jesus’ Last Supper with his disciples at Passover, we are mindful of Jesus’ willingness to serve his friends, to hand himself over for arrest, and to ultimately be put to death for the sake of love. We are also mindful of our own propensity, like Judas and Peter, to deny Christ in our lives.
Please have your own bread and grape juice ready to participate in the Lord’s Supper. Any bread is okay to use, but if you’re feeling ambitious, check out a special recipe using the link below. It makes 2 round loaves, so take one to a friend or neighbor and invite them to join us for the service!
