Serving Students from a Distance

One of the service projects our small group has been involved with over the years is preparing and serving dinner to students at The Gathering, which is the United Methodist Mission to University of Louisville students (www.gatheringlouisville.org).

This year, because of COVID-19, it was not possible to deliver meals in person, so our group made “Dinner in a Bag” which consisted of individual meals in gallon storage bags and included items such as microwave mac and cheese, trail mix, cookies, etc. We delivered over fifty of these to Reverend Marco Ballesteros, who is the director of this ministry.
