Draw Near
Advent 2025
At Christmas, we celebrate the birth of Christ our Savior, God who comes near to us, arriving in the vulnerability of a newborn. But before we reach the manger, we move through Advent, a season shaped by longing. Longing for God to draw near, and longing for the broken places in our world to be met with the abundant hope, peace, love, and joy that Christmas proclaims.
The Kingdom of God has indeed come near, yet it doesn’t always feel that way. In the rush, the stress, and the endless lists that fill this season, God’s nearness can seem distant. We can celebrate God coming close to us while still struggling to feel close to God.
This Advent, we invite you to slow down and make intentional space to draw near to God who draws near to us. Together, we will lean into wonder, justice, and truth as we anticipate God drawing near to us in Jesus.
