Making (and keeping) friends as adults is not easy. Our time is limited, we have often been disappointed in the past, and it can be hard to trust new people. In our highly digitized and “connected” world, where it appears as if people are thriving with multitudes of friends, many of us are feeling more disconnected and lonelier than ever. As followers of Jesus Christ, it is crucial that we develop spiritual friends who help us become more like Jesus. We are worthy of this kind of love and belonging, and we can’t go it alone. We weren’t meant to.
