Wandering Heart

LENT 2025

Peter was one of Jesus’ most famous disciples. Throughout scripture we see him drop his nets and follow Jesus, walk on water, run to the empty tomb, and even swim to the shore to meet the risen Christ. Peter is shown as one who keeps searching and yearning and loving, even after his missteps or mistakes. Like Peter, sometimes our faith journeys ebb and flow, and sometimes they feel a bit like wandering. Yet, that doesn’t always mean distance from God.

Join us this Lent as we follow the story of Peter to remember how God loves imperfect people and that time and time again, that is exactly who God claims and calls. As we wander, let us tune our hearts to sing God’s grace, and may we rest in streams of mercy, never ceasing.
